Top 10 Antivirus in 2015

Our ‘Top 10 Antivirus in 2015’ even includes a budget friendly totally free option, check out the list below to find out which.

Sadly online threats seem to be increasing and not decreasing, so we all still need anti-virus software. PC’s are more vulnerable than Macs, but that doesn’t mean Apple products are immune.

Modern anti-virus software has expanded beyond merely protecting our computers from viruses and malware though of course that is still a primary goal. Today they taken care of needs like back-up and parental control and can even manage OS usage by software and help smooth networking issues.

Many people are still being taken in by phishing and scams via phone that your anti-virus software can’t protect you against, but at the very least these should be your first line of defence.

Here are the top 10 antivirus software of 2015, check it out:

10. G-Data Internet Security 2015

Although it lacks a password manager, G Data Internet Security matches the highest independent test scores for rates of protection and accuracy of threat detection.

9. Kaspersky Total Security 2015

Another software suite that dominates test scores Kaspersky is only let down by its lack of 24/7 technical support.

8. McAfee LiveSafe 2015

Scores high for accuracy in tests and features biometric authentication let down by less strong support for Macs and iOS.

7. Bullguard Internet Security 2014

Scores high with ease of backups and with independent lab tests, but parental controls are easy to disable which may be a worry for some users.

6. Qihoo 360 Internet Security 4.3

A good allrounder with a tiny 17MB install footprint, some however have found cause to complain about performance speed.

5. Trend Micro Internet Security 2015

Scores very well in independent testing for virus protection, but another suite that is not so strong on parental controls.

4. Bitdefender Total Security 2015

Although it lacks a backup manager Bitdefender scores highly as an all-rounder with excellent results across the board in independent testing.

3. Avast Free Antivirus 2015

Considering that is is free and it scores highly across the board in tests, it seems churlish to complain about Avast but some users say it is definitely among the slower security choices.

2. Bitdefender Internet Security 2015

A great all round solution that also all protects your PC’s performance as well as security, a lack of a backup solution is one of this suite’s few negatives.

1. Symantec Norton Security

The leader in the ‘Top 10 Antivirus in 2015’ list, Norton gets top marks all round and is almost flawless, you could argue that its limited protection for iOS devices is a drawback, but then they don’t need it as much anyway.
